Squishmallows from Sonic the Hedgehog are revealed

A line of Sonic the Hedgehog plush toys from the plush company Squishmallows was unveiled. The company has also launched collections based on other well-known properties, including Hello Kitty, Spongebob Squarepants, and a Pokemon line including Pikachu and Gengar.

The first Sonic the Hedgehog game was launched in 1991 for the SEGA Genesis, and the character has been around since the 1990s. Because of its distinctive platformer-style gameplay, as well as its various TV episodes and movies, Sonic has become a household name along with his friends and foes. Sonic is known for his swift movements. In November of this year, the open-world 3D platformer Sonic Frontiers was released to a lot of fanfare and became the fastest-selling Sonic game in Japan.

On Christmas Eve, Squishmallows unveiled an exclusive collection of plush toys featuring Sonic the Hedgehog, a legendary figure in the gaming industry. The eight-inch tall plush versions of Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Shadow are part of the collection and are sold separately on Toy Drops for $19.99 apiece. The Squishmallow Sonic entire set is available for $74.99. The Squishmallows will only be available for a short period of time and while supplies last, according to Toy Drops’ Instagram page, but as of this writing, both the individual toys and the whole set are still on the website. Before the year is through (or perhaps next year, if they’re fortunate), Sonic fans and toy collectors could be able to get their hands on one or all of the Squishmallows.

Sonic enthusiasts showed their love for their beautiful plush toys on social media while posting pictures of their Squishmallows set, which they were able to buy as soon as they went on sale at Toy Drops’ website. However, a few users don’t seem to like the Squishmallows Sonic collection; one of them said that it “missed the target.” The Sonic the Hedgehog Squishmallows, on the other hand, seem to be a must-have for toy collectors, which they can display right next to their Sonic Build-a-Bear plush animals.

Although there hasn’t been any word about Toy Drops replenishing the Sonic the Hedgehog Squishmallows collection, it’s likely that fans may see more of them, particularly given Sonic Frontiers’ ongoing popularity. In 2023, there will likely be a tonne of DLC upgrades for the most recent Sonic game, including new features, aesthetic changes, additional playable characters, and new narratives. Fans of the game may probably expect more in the future, particularly after completing their first run. Until SEGA releases its next Sonic game, the DLCs are a terrific method to draw in new gamers with engaging content.
