Overwatch 2 Update Brings Significant Changes to Six Characters

D.Va seemed too lethal following the latest round of modifications, considering how tough her Defense Matrix has become.

  • Fusion Cannons’ spread has been raised from 3.5 to 3.75. Boosters’ impact damage has been lowered from 25 to 15.
  • Call Mech – -Fixed in the most recent update- Call Mech’s final cost has been decreased by 12%.

ZARYA:

Although her high damage potential and barrier uptime have shown to be incredibly effective, early player opinion expected Zarya to be one of the worst solo tanks in 5v5. Feedback from opponents has suggested that Zarya has relatively narrow windows of vulnerability, which may be tough to deal with when paired with her ramping damage potential.

These modifications will lessen the barrier uptime, making it somewhat more difficult for her to recover energy and giving adversaries more opportunity to inflict damage.

  • Particle Barrier — Duration reduced from 2.5 to 2 seconds — Cooldown increased from 10 to 11 seconds
  • Projected Barrier — Duration reduced from 2.5 to 2 seconds — Cooldown increased from 10 to 11 seconds
