MSI’s updated laptop models were just announced at CES and they’ve got some impressive specs, including new Intel and NVIDIA components and redesigned cooling to help boost performance.
The Titan GT and Raider GE series are the top of the line, with the Intel i9-13980HX processor and MSU Overboost technology that can reach a 250W power draw or support 5.2GHz frequency across 8 cores. The Titan GE also boasts the “world’s first 4K 144Hz Mini LED display” with a 17.3-inch panel and 1,000 nits peak brightness with over 1,000 local dimming zones. The Raider GE has a slightly lower resolution display at QHD+ 240Hz, but it also has a new chassis with an upgraded light bar.
MSI also has new models in the Stealth Series, which have a slimmer profile but still pack a lot of power. These include 14-, 15-, 16- and 17-inch models, with the 14- and 16-inch versions using a magnesium-aluminium alloy chassis to keep their weight down. The 15-inch model has a 240Hz OLED display with a 0.2ms response time and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage.
Finally, the Prestige series is even lighter and thinner, with the 13-inch model weighing in at just 2.18 lbs. It also uses a magnesium-alloy construction and has a 75W-h battery that lasts up to 15 hours.
MSI hasn’t released a full release schedule yet, but they’ve said that the Titan and Raider series will launch in mid-February, followed by the Stealth and Cyborg lines later that month. Stay tuned for more updates!
