Motorola has announced the arrival of its latest flagship phone, the Edge 40 Pro, in North America where it will be renamed as the 2023 version of the Edge Plus. While the two phones are similar, some may consider it a downside that the new device is essentially more of the same. However, users can expect a high-quality performance, as the Edge Plus features a virtually borderless 6.7-inch pOLED display and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for fast processing. The phone’s triple high-res camera system includes a 50 MP main lens with OIS, a 50 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12 MP telephoto lens, along with a 60 MP selfie camera. Notable features include Night Vision, Horizon Lock Stabilization, and Auto Focus Tracking. The Edge Plus (2023) also boasts a 5100mAh battery that can provide a charge lasting up to two days.
The Edge Plus (2023) will be available for purchase in the United States starting May 25 for $799.99, and pre-orders open May 19. The phone will be available universally unlocked at Best Buy, Amazon, and Motorola’s online store, but will not be sold through major carriers. Canadians can purchase the Edge Plus (2023) for a price of CA$ 1299.99 through Motorola’s website on May 25, and pre-orders open on May 19.
