GMC has beefed up the safety tech in the Terrain with an HD Rear Vision Camera and Surround Vision (exclusive to Denali only) and Front Pedestrian Braking available in the Driver Alert Package II
Rear Cross-Traffic Alert is another active technology that makes the 2020 Terrain safer around town. Using sensors, the 2020 Terrain can detect if there is an approaching vehicle behind it while reversing out of a parking bay and onto the road.
These active safety technologies are further bolstered by the addition of six standard airbags, including frontal driver and passenger, roof rail-mounted head curtain (for front and rear outboard seat), and thorax side-impact airbags (for front seats), making it one of the safest and most tech-packed vehicles in its class.
