Microsoft’s Xbox backward compatibility programme reappeared briefly last year with 76 new games, but the firm stated it had “hit the limit of our capacity to introduce new games to the catalogue from the past owing to licencing legal, and technical constraints.” That would explain why the number of new Xbox 360 titles available for Games with Gold has now been surpassed.
This change will not affect Xbox 360 games that you have previously downloaded or redeemed through Games with Gold. This simply implies that, from October 1st, Microsoft will not be adding any new Xbox 360 titles to the Games with Gold programme.
