One of the most important parts of our lives today is messaging. We send thousands of messages every day to our family, friends, and even colleagues. These messages can be simple greetings or even contain confidential data or media.
Recently, the digital world was plagued with security issues, with news coming in that many popular social media platforms had resorted to some shady activity and as a result, the seemingly private information of users was no longer safe. To counter this breach of data, the concept of end-to-end encryption was introduced.
However, even with these security protocols, there are some apps that do not adhere to these norms and sell user data anyways. If you are tired of this ambiguity, you should go for the Signal messaging app.
How to name a contact on the Signal Messaging app ?
The Signal messaging app allows us to edit the contact details of our Signal contacts directly from the app itself. If you have a contact whose name has been saved in the wrong format, or for some reason, their name needs to be changed, you can do it in a matter of seconds on the app.
Here’s how to do it.
Table of Contents
Open the Signal Messaging app on your smartphone.
Open the chat of the contact whose name you want to edit. This will open the conversation window.
Tap on the name of the contact at the top of the chat window to open the chat settings.
In the chat settings, tap on the name of the contact.
This will redirect you to the contact entry form.
Enter the updated name of your contact in the entry fields.
Tap on Done to confirm the changes.
You can now reboot the app for safe measures. You should now see that the name of the contact is now updated.
