How to check the purchase history on the iPhone

One of the most iconic and used features of the iPhone is the ‘App Store’. The largest repository of mobile apps on the market is Apple’s response to the Play Store, found on Android devices, and as such, it is also the official platform to download or purchase your favorite apps.

Recently, Apple also launched a Family Sharing program, where one person can purchase an app, and share the same app with 5 other people in his ‘Family Sharing’ plan. The only catch here is that the moment a member is taken off the family sharing, they can no longer use this shared app and must purchase their own copy.

Apple has also made provisions to keep purchasing limited to people about the age of 18. There is also now a biometric failsafe in place, that is triggered whenever you wish to make a purchase on the App Store. This way, users can control accidental purchases made by kids. This move was ratified after there were reports of children using their Apple device or their Parents’ Apple devices, to buy apps and make in-app purchases that cost thousands of dollars.

Now, it’s a good idea to check your purchase history once in a while, to keep a track of all the apps you have purchased, and also check whether or not you need any of those apps anymore.
