This February, Guilty Gear Strive will hold a new beta test on its cross-platform network. This will allow players the option to stress test the online play across a range of platforms, including the new ones that it is scheduled to debut shortly. While Guilty Gear Strive did gain crossplay last year, it was only between PC and PlayStation versions of the game. However, the main fighting game will be receiving both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S editions in 2023.
Guilty Gear Strive’s next character was teased along with this news, with the full revelation coming later in March. With the game now targeting a brand-new set of platforms, people will likely be curious to see how it performs on these systems, along with seeing how crossplay will function across all versions of the game. Arc System Works is letting fans see for themselves with an open beta test between all versions of the game.
This new beta test, like the last open beta test for Guilty Gear Strive, is its own standalone programme that is not linked to the main game. It may be downloaded through the PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam shops, and will be free for everyone. This beta test will be running from February 3-6, and be accessible to play even if users don’t have the essential subscriptions for online play like PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold. Any save data from this network test will not be transferred over into the main game.

This open beta test includes nine game modes, including the tutorial, training room, VS mode, and internet modes. 22 members in Guilty Gear Strive’s roster will be playable in this demo as well, which includes DLC characters like Baiken, Testament, Bridget, and even the freshly released Sin Kiske. This effectively allows players a free test of the presently available roster in the main game, providing them with an opportunity to check out certain characters they haven’t acquired yet or simply the game in general.
Guilty Gear Strive fans can look forward to an exciting 2023 with new DLC characters and the introduction of Xbox versions of the game. While the release for the Xbox versions is a vague 2023 timeframe, this next beta test should serve as a fantastic teaser for fighting game enthusiasts on Xbox.
