Hypertext Markup Language

Meaning – The term hypertext markup language, or HTML, refers to the language used to write web pages on websites. Hypertext refers to the hyperlinks that an HTML page may contain. Markup language refers to the way tags are used to define the page layout and elements within the page.

Despite the several changes that the world wide web has gone through since the last few years, HTML still remains the language of choice for writing web pages for websites. It is interesting to note that despite the web getting a lot more advanced and sometimes even a bit complicated, HTML has gotten a lot simpler to understand and use.
