EA Tiburon, the creator of Madden NFL 23, has released the previously mentioned remedy for the server bug that damaged franchise save data. As previously stated, the repair is only for a very small number of Madden NFL 23 gamers who were affected by the save file corruption. All other Madden NFL 23 gamers who encountered the problem have verified that their save files were permanently erased. Unfortunately, this is the limit of EA Tiburon’s capacity to remedy the situation.
Madden NFL 23 had unexpected server difficulties in December. Players attempting to access their franchises received a database storage problem, preventing them from playing. EA Tiburon made a statement recognising the problem and promising an investigation. EA Tiburon delivered a “fix” on December 28 that has now been proven to have had catastrophic implications. This corruption problem has been validated for Madden NFL 23 players that entered Connected Franchise Mode during the 10-hour session on December 28.
EA Tiburon issued a follow-up statement with bad news for Madden NFL 23 players affected by the corruption scandal. It couldn’t be fixed. There was no way for EA Tiburon to repair the damaged saved data. Its sole alternative was to restore faulty save files with server-side backups, although relatively few of these backups were available. These are the backups that EA Tiburon has now provided.
An email from EA/Sean Graddy just hit a bunch of email boxes re: Cloud Franchises.

Players who have been battling with corrupted franchise save files in Madden NFL 23 should now be able to check to see whether they have been saved or if they will have to restart their franchise. EA adds that a Week 17 “Play Now” Live roster was released last week, and another Wild Card update is available now that would serve as a good starting point. To reiterate, Madden NFL 23 players who have not yet had their franchise save files repaired will never have them repaired. There is nothing further that can be done.
The apology from EA Tiburon is overwhelming. In an email to players, Madden NFL executive producer Seann Graddy said, “This should not have occurred.” A cascade of issues ensued, corrupting not just live saves but also deleting the majority of backups. While the difficulties have now been fixed, the afflicted gamers are still suffering.
EA Tiburon claims it will provide invitations to Madden NFL 24’s limited beta on either PS5 or Xbox Series X/S to all affected Madden NFL 23 gamers as a symbol of its apologies. Additionally, those who have lost progress will get a 50% discount on Madden NFL 24. Finally, EA Tiburon says it is now working on Commissioner Tools for future franchise modes, which will provide players with powerful customization choices even if they lose or restart their franchises, allowing them to create a league tailored to their wishes and requirements. Despite not being fixed save the file, it’s something.
