DP World’s Brain & Performance Centre Wins FDI Insider Neurotechnology Award

The Brain & Performance Centre, a DP World company based in Dubai, has been named Best Integrated Neurotechnology Innovation – Dubai 2026 at the FDI Insider Awards, recognition for a brain-health model the Centre says is built on neuroimaging, data-led assessment and continuous performance tracking.

The award singles out the Centre’s “technology-enabled” approach to brain health, neurological rehabilitation and human performance. Rather than a single treatment, the Centre describes an integrated model that brings together clinical expertise, neuroimaging, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, cognitive and physical performance evaluation, rehabilitation and personalised care programmes under one roof.

Technology sits at the core of how the facility assesses and monitors clients. Depending on a person’s programme, the Centre says assessments can include MRI and SPECT brain imaging, neurocognitive testing and physical performance evaluation, with results reviewed by a multidisciplinary team to shape individual plans. Wearable data, cognitive-training metrics and clinical observations are then used to track progress and adjust those programmes over time — an approach the Centre frames as a more responsive, individualised model of care.

The facility is an unusual venture for DP World, the Dubai-based ports and logistics group better known for running container terminals than brain-health clinics. The Centre operates as a DP World company from a 7,000-square-metre site in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, organised into hyperbaric, neurocognitive, physiological, imaging and youth wings. It has previously drawn attention for its hyperbaric medicine work; in 2025 it said it had become the first facility in the Middle East to receive accreditation from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. Its programmes target conditions ranging from age-related cognitive decline and stroke recovery to traumatic brain injury and chronic pain.

“We are honoured to receive this recognition from the FDI Insider Awards,” said Dr. Craig Cook, CEO of The Brain & Performance Centre, A DP World Company. “This award reflects the strength of our integrated model and the commitment of our team to advancing brain health, neurological rehabilitation, and human performance through technology, clinical expertise, and personalised care. Our focus remains on delivering meaningful, measurable outcomes for the individuals and families we support.”

The FDI Insider Awards recognise companies and individuals for innovation and measurable impact across sectors spanning technology, healthcare, finance and logistics, with winners selected through what the programme describes as a data-driven, research-led process. The neurotechnology category places the Centre among organisations being highlighted for applying emerging technology in real-world clinical settings rather than in the lab.

The recognition also feeds a broader narrative the UAE has been keen to promote: positioning itself as a regional hub for advanced healthcare and technology investment. For the Brain & Performance Centre, the stated focus now is on widening awareness of proactive brain health and extending its work across neurological recovery, cognitive performance, physical wellbeing and long-term human optimisation.
