Deathloop will be available on Xbox Game Pass on September 20th

Deathloop will be released on the Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox Game Pass, and PC Game Pass on September 20th, after a year of platform exclusivity on the PS5. After its debut in September last year, the first-person shooter created by Arkane Lyon was nominated for multiple game of the year awards due to its gripping combination of action and stealth gameplay, vintage sci-fi graphic style, and intriguing time looping structure. Deathloop was published last September for PC in addition to the PS5. There’s no mention of a future release for last-generation Xbox One systems.

Deathloop’s platform exclusivity on the PS5 was an odd scenario considering that the game was released by Bethesda, whom Microsoft purchased last year. Following the announcement of the purchase, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer said that the business will maintain the game’s pre-existing PS5 exclusivity arrangement, despite the fact that it was for Sony’s rival machine. However, Spencer has said that future Bethesda projects would most likely be exclusive to Microsoft’s platforms.
