Cadillac has officially launched the 2024 CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing performance sedans, showcasing a range of enhancements and refinements compared to the previous year’s models.
A significant update for the CT5-V Blackwing is the inclusion of GM’s Super Cruise driver assistance feature, which is now available on models equipped with the 10-speed automatic transmission. Super Cruise enables hands-free driving and on-demand automatic lane changes on select U.S. roads.
In celebration of 20 years of Cadillac V-Series models, the CT5-V Blackwing boasts special design touches, including a unique grille header and rocker identification. Additionally, a distinctive “wake-up” animation has been incorporated into the driver information display. The 2024 model year also introduces new color options, with Velocity Red, Cyber Yellow Metallic, Coastal Blue Metallic, and Black Diamond Tricoat joining the paint palette.
The CT4-V Blackwing receives similar upgrades to its larger sibling for the 2024 model year, although the Super Cruise feature is not available.
Both models retain their impressive powertrains. The CT4-V Blackwing is equipped with a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 engine generating 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. It continues to offer a standard six-speed manual transmission, with an optional 10-speed automatic available. Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 suspension remains a standard feature, while an optional aero package is offered, providing the highest level of downforce ever seen in a V-Series model.
The CT5-V Blackwing remains Cadillac’s most powerful sedan to date, featuring a hand-built 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. This powerhouse delivers an astounding 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. The CT5-V Blackwing comes standard with a Tremec six-speed manual gearbox, and customers can opt for a performance-tuned 10-speed GM Hydra-Matic automatic transmission at an additional cost.
The 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing has a starting price of $94,690, which includes the $1,195 destination charge. The CT4-V Blackwing starts at $62,890, with a $1,395 destination freight charge included.
