BMW said it will release a M performance version of the i5, noting that its all-electric i4 M50 was its best-selling M vehicle last year. In 2024, it will also introduce a touring i5. “The BMW 5 Series Touring is very popular, especially in Europe,” BMW chairman Oliver Zipse said. “It will also be available in an all-electric version beginning in spring 2024, giving us a truly unique selling point in this segment.”
