As the first season of the Warner Bros. crossover platform fighter continues, producer Player First Games has added a slew of new characters. Stripe, the game’s second Gremlins rep, was added during the recent Halloween event, while prior upgrades featured characters such as fellow Gremlins character Gizmo and Rick and Morty’s Rick Sanchez. Players can now obtain the newest character from a currently airing film.
Black Adam joins MultiVersus after the character’s film adaption debuted to good reviews at the box office. Black Adam dominated its opening weekend, outperforming titles like as Halloween Ends, with projections putting its initial profits at about $67 million. Both fans and reviewers have praised the film, with many complimenting Dwayne Johnson for his debut part in DC’s expanded world. Black Adam will now be the platform fighter’s newest character in MultiVersus.
On Monday, MultiVersus formally announced Black Adam’s inclusion in the game with a brand-new clip displaying the character’s different attacks. Black Adam is a Bruiser character that uses his lightning powers to shock adversaries into surrender. Black Adam also has an electromagnetic force field and great flight skills, which allow him to play off-stage and recuperate. Black Adam joins a growing cast of renowned DC superheroes and supervillains appearing in MultiVersus. The crossover combatant already includes Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, with Harley Quinn serving as the game’s lone adversary. Leaks and datamines for future fighters have also hinted that numerous additional DC heroes and villains, like Static Shock, the Joker, Raven, and others, are in the works. Fans of the game have also requested characters such as Beast Boy and Batman Beyond.
