Hey Call of Duty fans, so you’re probably digging into all the new Modern Warfare 3 season 1 content right? But then you got hit with a terrifying error message saying your data is corrupt and you need to reset everything! I freaked out too when I saw it.
The message makes it sound like if you click “yes” you’ll lose all your progress and unlocks. And if you say “no”, it just closes the game. So it’s like choice between losing months of grinding or not playing at all!
But thankfully the devs confirmed it’s just a bug and the message is incorrect. Your rank, unlocks, and purchases are safe, phew! The only catch is it may reset your loadouts, so you’ll have to rebuild those. Annoying but better than losing everything.
I was worried because I already decked out some guns with the cute new ice cream Neopolitan camos. I’d be bummed to redo all that. But at least I get to keep all my hard-earned ranks and weapon unlocks.
