Amazon Freevee to Stream More Than 100 Prime Video Originals for Free

The competition in the realm of free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) is intensifying as Amazon reveals plans to enhance its Freevee streaming option by adding more than 100 Amazon Originals from its Prime Video catalog. Currently, Freevee offers over 50 movies and TV shows for streaming, and each month, additional Amazon Originals will be included in the lineup.

Freevee users can now enjoy a variety of popular titles, including Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, The Grand Tour, Mozart in the Jungle, Bosch, Modern Love, Savage X Fenty, Sylvie’s Love, Troop Zero, and Late Night, starring Emma Thompson and Mindy Kaling.

Accessible within the Amazon Prime Video app, Freevee is available to users even without a paid Prime Video subscription. The app can be enjoyed on Amazon Fire TV sets, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and other streaming devices. It is also compatible with many leading smart TVs, as well as iOS and Android devices.

May will see the release of several Amazon Originals on Freevee, including The Summer I Turned Pretty and the first three episodes of A League of Their Own. Additionally, viewers can look forward to The Terminal List, Paper Girls, Goliath, The Tick, full seasons of Homecoming and Upload, and The Vast of Night. Notably, all shows will continue to be available on Prime Video for ad-free viewing alongside their inclusion on Freevee.

Amazon has also announced that the entire first seasons of the highly anticipated Amazon Originals Reacher and The Wheel of Time will be made available on Freevee later this year, further enhancing the streaming experience for viewers.

With this expansion of its Freevee streaming option, Amazon is positioning itself as a major player in the growing FAST market. By offering a wide range of Amazon Originals at no cost, the company aims to attract a larger audience while providing ad-supported content that complements its premium subscription-based services.
