The Lucid Air is an excellent debut vehicle from a new carmaker. It’s also an extremely pricey EV that most folks can’t afford. The business has promised less-priced variants of the Air, which will be introduced today.
Lucid unveiled the Lucid Air Pure and Touring at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The two cars may not reach 60 mph in under two seconds, but these are the trim levels that will most certainly dominate the automaker’s sales.
The Pure is the first and only Air to be priced under $100,000, with a starting price of $87,400. It’s important to remember that the Air is still a high-end car. While it won’t go 500 miles between charges, it does have an EPA range of 410 miles and can charge at 250kW on a suitable DC fast charger.
The Touring is significantly more costly at $107,400 and has a 425-mile EPA estimated range.
