Like its predecessor, the new Hilux GR Sport II is available exclusively as a double cab model. It features a suspension lift that raises the pickup’s ride height by 20 millimeters (0.8 inches), while the front and rear tracks have been widened by 140 mm (5.5 inches) and 150 mm (5.9 inches), respectively. The truck rides on new 17-inch lightweight wheels fitted with all-terrain tires. Off-road capabilities have been improved, with the approach angle increasing from 29 to 30 degrees.
In addition to these changes, the 2023 Hilux GR Sport II comes equipped with new monotube dampers for more responsive performance on rough terrain. The pickup also benefits from enhanced stopping power, thanks to larger front disc brakes, replacing the previous rear drums with disc brakes. Minor aerodynamic improvements have been implemented, including new air curtains at the front, while the rear features a more streamlined sport bar and bed cover.
