World of Warcraft Patch 10.1.7 Adds Huge Cosmetic Options for Engineering Fans

World of Warcraft is introducing new achievements for players with Engineering that unlock customizable goggles for every class.

The five types of goggles that players can unlock through the Chromatic Calibration achievements in World of Warcraft Patch 10.1.7 are as follows:

  1. Bio-Optic Killshades: This category comprises seven goggles in four different colors.
  2. Retinal Armor: Players will have access to seven items in six distinct colors.
  3. Cranial Cannon: This category offers 12 entries available in four different shades.
  4. Ectoplasmic Specs: With only four goggles required for the unlock, these come in four different colors.
  5. Holo-Gogs: This category boasts a total of 34 items required for the achievement, with 11 unique colors available.

It’s important to note that these achievements and associated items are currently in the World of Warcraft Public Test Realm (PTR), and there may be potential changes before the patch goes live. Some key details, such as whether players will need to have Engineering as a profession to transmog these items or if they will be universally usable, remain uncertain. Additionally, it’s unclear whether players will receive credit towards earning these achievements if they have previously crafted these items or if they will need to re-craft them after Patch 10.1.7 is released.
