Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Returns with New Release Window and Indie Studio The Chinese Room at the Helm

Mark Your Calendar: A Fall/Q3 2024 Release Window Announced for the Long-Awaited Vampire RPG

For fans eagerly awaiting the return of the vampire-themed action RPG, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, there’s finally some light at the end of the crypt. During the recent PAX West event, it was revealed that indie favorite The Chinese Room has taken charge of development, and while a concrete release date remains elusive, players can mark their calendars for a fall/Q3 2024 release window.

If you’re curious but not yet ready to commit with a pre-order, fear not – The Chinese Room promises a “gameplay reveal” in January 2024, offering a closer look at what’s in store.

Announcing the exciting news, The Chinese Room expressed their enthusiasm, saying, “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is very special to many, and we can finally reveal that we’ve been embraced by this adventure. We’re crafting something incredible here and are bloody excited to share more at last!”

In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, players find themselves at the heart of a pivotal decision that will shape Seattle’s destiny. Set in the midst of a three-front siege on the city, the game explores the dynamic between old and new forces vying for control. Players will have the unique opportunity to role-play as an elder vampire, a first in the Vampire: The Masquerade video game series.

The game delves into the dark underbelly of Seattle, where vampires grapple for power and survival. As an Elder vampire, players will encounter intriguing characters, navigate intricate political webs, hunt for prey on city streets, and engage in intense combat – all while managing their insatiable need for blood. Players must tread carefully, as breaking the Masquerade, the sacred law of secrecy that conceals vampire society from humanity, comes with dire consequences.

The Chinese Room, an award-winning studio based in Brighton, UK, boasts an impressive portfolio that includes titles like Dear Esther, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 first teased fans in 2019 and has seen its fair share of ups and downs. Notably, in June, publisher Paradox Interactive initiated refunds for pre-orders of both physical and digital versions of the game, regardless of whether customers requested them or not.
