Ubisoft Clarifies: No Account Deletion Planned for Games Library Despite Initial Concerns

It appears that Ubisoft will not be deleting inactive accounts that have purchased games stored on them, contrary to initial worries raised by a user who received an email about their account being temporarily suspended and set for permanent closure due to inactivity.

Ubisoft clarified the situation and stated that users can avoid account closure by simply logging into their account within the 30-day period and clicking on the “Cancel Account Closure” link provided in the email. This simple action will prevent their accounts from being deleted.

For users who may have already lost access to their accounts and games, Ubisoft has recommended contacting their support team via a ticket on their website to resolve the issue.

Additionally, the Ubisoft support page has been updated to specify that accounts tied to an active Ubisoft subscription or PC games purchased from the Ubisoft store are not eligible for deletion.

However, some users have reported not having access to their recovery email, so it is advisable to check your Ubisoft account promptly. If you find that your account has been deactivated, you can submit a ticket to Ubisoft’s support team and explain the situation to get assistance in recovering your account and games.
