The newest 2k security camera from TP-Link has full-color night vision

TP-Link introduced its Tapo brand of smart home gadgets earlier this year, centred on low-cost 2K security cameras, with versions ranging from $30 to $60. The Tapo C40S2 is a more expensive but more spectacular indoor/outdoor 2K night vision security camera from Tapo.

The new model is battery-powered, waterproof, and wire-free, with a battery life of up to 180 days in both indoor and outdoor conditions. According to the business, it has an 850nm IR sensor and an f/1.6 aperture lens that enables it to see up to 49 feet in the dark. TP-Link claims “pristine visuals, especially in low-light circumstances” with 2K resolution (2,048 x 1,080), which is slightly higher than Full HD.

It also has AI characteristics that enable it to differentiate between persons, dogs, cars, and parcels, as well as provide alerts when someone enters the property or user-defined activity zones. A built-in siren and light alert, microSD and cloud storage with 30 days of video history, motion detection with snapshots, and other features round out the package. The Tapo C420S2 is currently available for $200 for a two-pack on TP-website Link’s or on Amazon – a decent price for a wireless night-vision camera.
