The final Tekken 8 character has been revealed ahead of launch in January

Tekken 8 is hitting the scene on January 26, 2024, and the excitement is off the charts. We’ve been treated to trailers showcasing all 32 fighters itching to throw down in the game, and guess what? There are three new faces in the mix, with the latest reveal being the most exciting of them all.

Reina is the hot new addition to Tekken 8’s roster, and they dropped the bomb at EVO’s Tekken Showcase on November 12. A killer reveal trailer came with the announcement, giving us a front-row seat to the introduction of this brand-spankin’-new fighter. The big question on everyone’s mind – with Heihachi missing from the base roster, could Reina be the missing link in Tekken 8’s unfolding story? With the plot still under wraps, this is anybody’s guess.

Now, let’s talk Reina’s fighting style. According to a PlayStation blog post, Reina is bringing some serious acrobatic vibes rooted in Taid?, a Japanese martial art. Get ready for moves that are faster than a hiccup and a flurry of swift, bone-crushing attacks that’ll keep opponents at arm’s length. No wonder they’re calling her “purple lightning” – a fitting nickname revealed in her trailer.

Along with this, we have also received word that the near wall combat stats for Reina are absolutely off the charts and this may be a huge plus point for those who prefer that kind of combat. It is highly likely that Reina becomes a fan favourite very very soon.
