For most consumers, the $1,000 Galaxy S22 Plus strikes the correct blend of size, performance, and camera performance. The 6.6-inch screen gives enough of room for individuals who like bigger phones but are concerned that the Ultra would be too huge (and expensive). The improvement to a 50-megapixel camera is clearly noticeable when compared to last year’s Galaxy S21 series, particularly in terms of color and contrast in images.
My main gripe is that the battery life is just decent, despite outlasting the normal Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra in CNET’s battery test. It would also have been wonderful to see additional features that make use of the S22 Plus’s enhanced camera, particularly given the S22 Plus costs more than some phones on our list. Nonetheless, the Galaxy S22 Plus includes everything that most people need in a new phone.
