“Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League” release date pushed back to February 2nd, 2024

Warner Bros. Games and Rocksteady Studios have announced that the highly anticipated game, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, will now be released on February 2nd, 2024, instead of its initial release window of 2022. This news comes after the game’s initial delay to sometime this spring.

In a statement released on the game’s Twitter account, the developers stated that they had made the “tough but necessary decision” to delay the game to ensure that it is of the “best quality experience for players.” The statement also thanked the community for their continued support and patience, and promised that there would be more updates in the months leading up to the release.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League received a poor reception during its showcase at the PlayStation State of Play event in February, with many fans reacting negatively to the live service elements of the game. Critics were particularly unhappy with the always-online requirement and the gating of cosmetic items behind microtransactions and a battle pass system.

However, according to Bloomberg, Rocksteady Studios will use the extra time to polish the game, rather than overhauling its live service aspects. The studio will focus on ironing out bugs and improving elements that it feels are not up to scratch.

Fans of the game will have to wait a little longer to help take out the Justice League, but hopefully, the delay will result in a polished and enjoyable experience for players.
