However, the game encountered several issues, particularly with its release schedule. Despite initially aiming for a 2021 launch, Square Enix was only able to release the game in Singapore as a regional early-access version. Subsequently, an indefinite delay was announced at the end of last year, and in February 2022, all regional early access was terminated.
Square Enix confirmed the cancellation of Just Cause: Mobile, expressing regret to fans who had been anticipating its release. Brand lead Anne-Lou Grosbois-Favreau stated that the game would be removed from digital stores starting from July 3, 2023. She also mentioned that any Blue Diamonds purchased during the regional early access period have been fully refunded to players’ Google Play Accounts.
