Spider-Man: Remastered will be released on PC in August

During their June 2022 State of Play event, Sony revealed that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered from Insomniac Games will be released for PC on August 12th, 2022. This game was released as a launch title for the PlayStation 5. The business did not reveal pricing for the PC version, but it will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, as with prior titles. In a subsequent blog post, Insomniac Games revealed that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released on PC sometime this fall.

There will almost certainly be much more news in the future – at least for spec nerds. The remastered edition of the game includes every DLC, and it came with some stunning graphical enhancements, including ray tracing, on the PS5. Suffice it to say, identical options should be available in the PC version as well. Sony displayed alpha footage during the demonstration, which appeared to be a work-in-progress.

Sony’s commitment to making the PC a companion platform to its own PlayStation consoles is reinforced by the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man on PC. It joins other PlayStation-only titles such as God of War, Days Gone, and Horizon: Zero Dawn.
