Shazam! may include Wonder Woman. Fury of the Gods, but not in the way that they anticipate. It’s possible that Shazam! Fury of the Gods depicts a “fake” Wonder Woman who looks like her DCEU counterpart, Gal Gadot but isn’t her.
Owing to studio disputes between Warner Bros. and Henry Cavill, the original Shazam included an appearance by a headless Superman performed by Zachary Levi’s body double, and it looks that Shazam! Wrath of the Gods may do the same to Wonder Woman. It was first reported that Gadot had filmed Shazam! Wrath of the Gods, however, this may not have been the case.

According to a press release, Taylor Cahill will portray a “fake Wonder Woman” in Shazam! The Gods’ Wrath. The Wonder Woman theme “Is She With You,” composed by Hans Zimmer and Tom Holkenborg and originally heard in Batman v Superman, is also likely to be utilised, possibly in an action sequence. Yet, it is unknown what role a “false Wonder Woman” will have in the film. Nevertheless, it may entail magic and maybe a humorous impact similar to the Superman appearance in the first film, since Billy Batson has a crush on Wonder Woman similar to Freddy’s crush on Superman.
Since ShazamWonder !’s Woman toy! If Fury of the Gods isn’t being sold as a phoney version of the character, it’s possible that this is the DCEU Wonder Woman and that the film will conceal Cahill’s face via smart editing. Trailers showed glimpses of the DCEU design without showing the actor’s face, implying that it may be Cahill. But, the Superman appearance in the original Shazam proved divisive among fans, so it may not be advisable for the studio to repeat the trick. Yet, it has been rumoured that Cavill’s Superman and Gadot’s Wonder Woman were taken from The Flash, while Batman was cut from Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, thus it seems that this is the cost of Shazam! With the DCU revamp on the coming, Fury of the Gods will preserve its Wonder Woman appearance.
Asher Angel, who plays Billy Batson, may not have meant this when he said he wanted Shazam to interact with other DC Universe characters, particularly if it is done in a manner that viewers have previously seen as a cop-out. There is still a lot of ambiguity about Wonder Woman’s role and whether or not Gadot will appear in the film. In any case, fans won’t have to wait long to find out.
