Screens of God of War – Ragnarok leak on Twitter ahead of the game’s release

Ahead of the game’s release, God of War Ragnarok leaks have been uploaded to Twitter. The photographs appear to have been shared from a related PlayStation account and may or may not have been purposely leaked. The photographs have since been removed, but they can still be found on a Reddit thread.

This Twitter account appears to be tied to the PlayStation account of a media worker. God of War Ragnarok has recently been in the hands of select media outlets and reporters for preview and review.

At the moment, a variety of previews are available, although discussion of gameplay is restricted until a certain point. The rest of the game’s details will have to wait for thorough reviews. That information is currently under embargo.

This is also not a new pattern. Prior to their release, notable releases are frequently spoilt by leaks. In recent years, such titles have included The Last of Us Part II, GTA 6, and, most recently, A Plague Tale: Requiem, where copies were unintentionally given out to some players.

God of War Ragnarok is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2018 blockbuster, God of War. Two years after the events of the original game, the tale will continue to follow Atreus and Kratos’ relationship. The two have been preparing for Ragnarok, which is set to be an epic conclusion to the Norse chapter of the franchise.

God of War (2018) was recognised for its amazing visuals and rich cinematics, and fans can expect the same from God of War Ragnarok, according to recent previews. Sony has even confirmed that the game can run at 120 frames per second when connected to an HDMI 2.1 display.

As of now, the leaked photographs have been removed off Twitter. Those who were quick enough to seize them appear to have uploaded them all on a Reddit thread.

Fans of the franchise should be cautious online in the coming weeks if they don’t want to see any spoilers.

God of War Ragnarok will be available for PS4 and PS5 on November 9th.
