Samsung Unveils the Galaxy SmartTag2: Revolutionizing Valuables Tracking

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has introduced the eagerly awaited Galaxy SmartTag2, slated for global release on October 11. This latest addition to the Galaxy SmartTag lineup promises an array of enhancements, ushering in innovative solutions for tracking valuable possessions. With significant upgrades in both design and usability, the Galaxy SmartTag2 presents users with an array of possibilities and peace of mind.

Jaeyeon Jung, Executive Vice President and Head of SmartThings, Device Platform Center at Samsung Electronics, underlined the company’s commitment to enhancing users’ lives. “With the Galaxy SmartTag2, we aim to make finding your belongings easier and more intuitive. Offering an enhanced tracking experience and prolonged battery life, the Galaxy SmartTag2 ensures greater peace of mind for users,” Jung stated.

Smart Features for Effortless Retrieval

The Galaxy SmartTag2 boasts a groundbreaking Lost Mode, enabling users to input contact information via a personalized message. When someone discovers an item affixed with a Galaxy SmartTag2, they can simply use their smartphone to scan the tag and access the owner’s message and contact details. This feature is a game-changer, making the Galaxy SmartTag2 ideal for safeguarding beloved pets by ensuring that the owner’s phone number is always accessible. Lost Mode works seamlessly with any mobile device equipped with an NFC reader and web browser.

Enhancing user experience, the device offers an improved Compass View feature, using arrows to display the direction and distance to the Galaxy SmartTag2 relative to the user. This function is available on UWB-supported Galaxy smartphones, such as the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
