Samsung just dropped a bomb in the storage game. They’re serving us the world’s largest true 8TB portable SSD, the Portable SSD T5 Evo, for a cool $650, just in time for Black Friday. And you know we’re all about that storage upgrade life.
What’s new about this SSD is that Samsung has discard the usual flat design language for something fresh while retaining the rectangular profile. Also, we have the Evo branding on the device, which shows that Samsung has focussed more on making this SSD easy on the pocket. This may mean that there are cutbacks in performance, but it should be barely discernible.
