Rockstar’s GTA Plus Gets a Game Pass Makeover with Classic Titles

Rockstar Enhances GTA Plus with Classic Games, Aiming to Boost Its Appeal

Rockstar Games has unveiled an exciting transformation for GTA Plus, introducing an array of classic titles reminiscent of a Game Pass-style offering. This move is expected to address the mixed reception that GTA Plus has previously received, assuaging concerns about its value.

GTA Plus, while it hasn’t always been met with enthusiasm, is set to take a new direction with the addition of several outstanding games. At present, the lineup boasts the Definitive Edition remasters of GTA 3, San Andreas, and Vice City.

What makes this development even more enticing is Rockstar’s commitment to refreshing the catalog by rotating in other games from its extensive library. Gamers can anticipate the inclusion of beloved titles such as Max Payne, Bully, Manhunt, and Red Dead Redemption, among others. The hope among fans is that these additions will arrive sooner rather than later.

Currently, GTA Plus is available for a monthly subscription fee of $6/£4.99/AUD 8.99, catering to players on the Xbox Series X and PS5 versions of GTA 5. While this subscription doesn’t rank among the most expensive in the gaming landscape, it has provided limited perks thus far.

The primary advantage is aimed at GTA Online players, offering a monthly infusion of $500,000 into their in-game accounts, along with cash and RP rewards for engaging in various activities and access to a selection of cars and bonus items.

The introduction of classic games to GTA Plus is poised to draw players toward this condensed version of Xbox Game Pass. However, some might exercise caution and wait to see what titles are added in the future. It’s worth noting that Rockstar’s previous forays into online subscriptions have encountered mixed receptions.

Just last year, the launch of GTA Online’s new subscription service raised eyebrows due to its pricing structure. Fans were taken aback when they discovered that the annual subscription cost three times the price of the base game. This recent overhaul, however, hints at Rockstar’s efforts to align GTA Plus more closely with gamers’ expectations and preferences.
