For all users, the following improvements are on the way:
- Prompt Examples: New chats will begin with prompt examples to provide guidance and reduce the intimidation of a blank page.
- Suggested Replies: After the chatbot answers a question, users will receive suggested replies, making it easier to continue the conversation.
- Extended Login: Users will no longer be logged out every two weeks, and they will be greeted with a more welcoming landing page upon login.
- Keyboard Shortcuts: Six keyboard shortcuts will be introduced to facilitate navigation and interaction with the chatbot.
For ChatGPT Plus subscribers, two additional enhancements are planned:
- File Upload: Subscribers will be able to upload multiple files for analysis, enabling ChatGPT to provide insights across multiple documents. This feature will be available in the Code Interpreter Beta, offering various data-related functionalities.
- Default to GPT-4: ChatGPT Plus subscribers will have the chatbot default to the GPT-4 model, eliminating the need to toggle between GPT-3.5 and GPT-4.
These improvements are intended to make ChatGPT more accessible and user-friendly, particularly for those new to the platform. While not as dramatic as the transition to GPT-4 earlier this year, these updates aim to enhance the overall user experience.
