Google’s Pixel 7, one of the best Android smartphones on the market, is facing some annoying bugs and issues that customers need to be aware of. One such bug that’s been plaguing customers since the phone’s launch, is that the Pixel 7 often freezes while watching full-screen videos.
As reported by 9to5Google, some Pixel 7 owners are experiencing the issue when watching videos on YouTube or on YouTube TV in full-screen mode. Occasionally, when they try to exit the app by swiping up on the navigation bar, their phones freeze. The freezing never happens when watching videos in the regular player, only when the video is playing full-screen.
The website also highlighted a Reddit thread in which multiple Pixel 7 owners complained about similar issues cropping up on their phones. The user who created the thread explained that they were doing the gesture to close the YouTube TV app when the Pixel 7 froze. They stated the phone was unresponsive for about 5 minutes before restarting itself.
This is a major concern and Google needs to fix this issue as soon as possible. Meanwhile, users need to be extra cautious while using their Pixel 7 while watching full-screen videos and ensure they have a way to restart the phone in case it freezes.
