‘Oxenfree II: Lost Signals’ set to release on Switch, Netflix, Steam and PlayStation on July 12th

Nintendo’s Indie World showcase brought some great news for fans of Night School Studio’s supernatural mystery game Oxenfree. The long-awaited sequel, Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, will finally launch on July 12th on several platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PS5, Steam, and Netflix’s mobile app.

Night School Studio announced Oxenfree II back in 2021 during a previous Indie World stream, and the game’s release has been highly anticipated since then. After Netflix acquired the studio, Night School postponed the sequel’s release until 2023 to ensure it would be a “truly special” game.

The new trailer for Oxenfree II: Lost Signals features a character named Riley, who returns to her dark hometown to investigate the mystery behind some strange radio transmissions. As players explore, they can use a new walkie-talkie conversation system to stay in touch with local contacts.

The Indie World showcase also featured a flurry of announcements and updates, including a major free update for Cult of the Lamb, a dungeon crawler and management sim mashup game. The Relics of the Old Faith update, available from April 24th, adds richer combat and a photo mode, refreshes bosses and enemies, and provides additional post-game content such as new stories, revamped dungeons, a boss rush mode, and a permadeath option.

The Oxenfree II: Lost Signals launch on July 12th is set to be one of the biggest gaming events of the year, and the new trailer is sure to heighten the anticipation of players eager to dive into the supernatural world Night School Studio has created. Fans of Cult of the Lamb will also have much to look forward to with the Relics of the Old Faith update, which is set to enhance the game’s already exciting gameplay.
