Overwatch 2: Invasion Brings New Story Missions and PvP Mode on August 10th

The latest update to Overwatch 2 adds three new story missions, a new PvP mode, and new maps

Furthermore, Blizzard unveils Hero Mastery mode, a single-player experience designed to test your proficiency with specific heroes. Engage in challenging training courses that demand a deep understanding of a character’s weapons and abilities. Compare your performance against other players on a leaderboard, fostering a competitive and rewarding environment. Initially, Hero Mastery courses will be available for select characters in Overwatch 2: Invasion, with plans for additional courses in future seasons.

To further hone your skills without leaving the game, the practice range receives an exciting addition—a firing range. This new feature allows you to practice with any hero while customizing various settings, providing a convenient and immersive training environment.

Blizzard has a special treat in store for Game Pass Ultimate members, enticing them to explore Overwatch 2. Starting on August 10th, subscribers will gain instant access to the five most recent heroes, including Sojourn, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Ramattra, and Lifeweaver, without the need for the premium battle pass, in-game challenges, or purchasing the characters from the in-game store. As an added bonus, players will receive a legendary skin and other cosmetics for each of these heroes through the New Heroes Starter Pack.

Excitement mounts as Blizzard tantalizes players with a brief glimpse of the upcoming support hero at the end of the Overwatch 2: Invasion trailer. Adorned with a cape and wielding an imposing weapon, this hero holds great promise. However, further details about their backstory and abilities will be unveiled in due time, leaving players eagerly anticipating the next chapter.
