The Sentra DET concept is a departure from the rugged theme, drawing inspiration from race cars featured in the Sentra Cup, a single-model championship popular in Canada. The DET moniker stands for “Dual overhead cam, Electronic Fuel Injection, Turbo,” hinting at the power under the hood. Nissan has fitted this sedan with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine is enhanced with a new Garrett intercooler and turbocharger, DeatschWerks in-tank fuel pump, AFCO radiator, McLeod lightweight flywheel clutch kit, and Manley pistons. While exact power figures remain undisclosed, the Sentra DET concept boasts a limited-slip differential, upgraded brakes sourced from the Nissan Z, and Recaro front bucket seats. It rolls on 18×8.5-inch Nismo wheels shod with Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD09 tires in 245/40/18 size. A prototype Nismo cat-back exhaust system not only improves engine breathing but also creates a distinctive soundtrack.
