Microsoft is introducing a new “Hardwear” clothing line, which includes a Windows XP T-shirt. If you’ve always wanted to walk around with the Windows XP bliss wallpaper on your back, now is your chance. The famous blue sky and green hill are emblazoned on a $60 mustard or black tee.
Supervsn founder Gavin Mathieu and Microsoft collaborated on the nine-piece collection of T-shirts, hats, sweatshirts, jackets, and pants. It’s Microsoft’s first capsule collection of clothing and merchandise, and the collaboration clearly aimed to create a trendy nerd vibe.
The normcore collection also includes an MS Paint T-shirt with the app’s original color palette and a “Hardwear” hat with Microsoft’s 1990s logo colorings.
However, this is not Microsoft’s first foray into clothing. For years, Microsoft has sold Xbox-branded clothing, and the company also sells a variety of garments at its company store. Microsoft even started selling ugly Windows sweaters in 2020, after previously selling MS Paint, Windows XP, Windows 95, and Minesweeper sweaters.
