Hearthstone has quietly modified the store descriptions for the Legendary Sylvanas, Ranger General package without announcing it. Players who were already enraged by the deceptive advertising were enraged much more when they found this modification. Fortunately, Hearthstone responded quickly with a public notification, providing these irate players with the opportunity to get a full refund for any Legendary Skin.
Players are relieved that Hearthstone is admitting its error and is issuing reimbursements. These Legendary Hero Skins are quite the investment with a pricey $25 price tag, so some Hearthstone players were understandably angered by the unintended deceptive advertising. Hearthstone may have found itself in a bind if it had not provided guaranteed refunds for these goods, and future Legendary Hero Skin sales would have suffered as a result. At the very least, gamers who are still pleased with their skins may be encouraged to purchase more in the future.
