Intel has yet to formally introduce its 13th Generation Raptor Lake CPUs, but the firm has teased a 15% increase in single-threaded performance and a 41% increase in multi-threaded performance. AMD plans to release its 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X CPU later this month, with a clock speed of up to 5.7GHz. Intel says that at least one of its 13th Generation CPUs will be capable of running at 6GHz out of the box.
During Intel’s innovation event on September 27th, we’ll learn a lot more about the company’s 13th Gen intentions. It just so happens that AMD is unveiling its Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 CPUs on the same day.
