Video messages or video notes are a convenient way to express things that are too difficult or too cumbersome to type out. Whatsapp allows users to send video notes/video messages of upto 60 seconds duration to your friends/loved ones, and the best part is that it is very very easy to do. The new feature has been seeding to users in phases, but as things stand, majority of Whatsapp users across the world have got access to this feature via app updates.
In this guide, we will walk you through how to send video message on Whatsapp –
Step 1. Open the Whatsapp app on your smartphone (iOS or Android).
Step 2. Open the chat where you want to send the video message to.
Step 3. Next to the chat window, you will see a small camera icon which you use to send images to your contacts.
Step 4. Long press the camera button and it will change into a video recorder.
Step 5. Record your video message as per your wish. You can even switch cameras as well if you want.
Step 6. When you are done with your video message, you can stop pressing the camera button and the video message will be sent to your contact.
If you cannot see this feature on your smartphone, you can check to see if there is a pending app update in the App Store or Play Store. If the Whatsapp app on your device is up to date, and the feature is still not available, then it may be that the update has not been seeded to the region yet.
