Like most other electronic gadgets out there, smartphones are also prone to a few glitches and bugs from time to time. While some of these glitches are resolved with a simple reboot of the device, there are some that render your smartphone unusable. In this tutorial, we will show you how to factory reset an Android smartphone.

Open the ‘Settings‘ app on your smartphone.
In the settings menu, tap on the ‘About Phone option.
In the about phone settings, scroll through the menu and tap on the ‘Factory Reset option.
Go through the list of items that will be deleted from your Android smartphone during the reset, and then tap on the ‘Erase All Data option.
You can now follow the on-screen instructions, and in a few minutes, your Android smartphone will be brought back to factory condition. You can now set it up as a new device, or restore a backup that you may have taken earlier of your Android smartphone.
