Valve also announced that the platform has been rebuilt with a new framework, allowing features to be shipped simultaneously across all versions of Steam.
One notable aspect of the update is that several new features are now available on the Steam Deck as well. Valve highlighted the overhauled in-game overlay, which includes a new interface, a more versatile toolbar, and a syncable notes tool that can be accessed across multiple devices. With the new framework, this feature is now accessible on both desktop and Steam Deck devices. The overlay also introduces a “pin” feature, enabling users to keep the notes tool or any other in-game interface window visible during gameplay.
