Lapsus$, referred to as a group of “digital bandits,” consists mostly of teenagers from Brazil and the UK. Kurtaj and the unnamed 17-year-old are among seven members arrested in the UK. The group is believed to have hacked several high-profile targets, including Samsung, T-Mobile, and Microsoft, between 2021 and 2022. While the group allegedly demanded ransoms, the exact amount of money they gained from these exploits remains unclear.
