She recommended using Google Search to fact-check content generated by Bard and emphasized that the AI should be considered more of an experimental tool for problem-solving and generating new ideas.
While Weinstein’s advice is sound given the inherent limitations and risks of generative AIs, it is somewhat concerning coming from a high-ranking Google executive. Bard, which serves as a conversational search engine, allows users to access factual information with relative ease, making it tempting for fact-finding purposes.
