Google Voice Flags Suspected Spam Calls to Protect Users

The new “suspected spam caller” label will appear not just on the incoming call screen, but also in call history for future reference. If you confirm that the call was spam, all future calls from that number will be routed to voicemail, and all call history entries from that number will be routed to the spam folder. However, if you confirm that the number is authentic and not a spam caller, the warning will be removed.

For this function, Google employs the same artificial intelligence that is in charge of recognising spam calls throughout its ecosystem. According to reports, the AI has been screening billions of spam calls every month for the internet behemoth. It should be noted that the new label will display only if your spam filter option under Security is turned off. If it is enabled, all calls that Google believes are spam are sent to voicemail from the start.
