Google Voice has made it easy to block spam calls to your phone number. The IT titan has stated that the service would now detect suspected spam calls and plainly label them with a huge red exclamation point. Spam calls and texts have been a significant problem for years, and they’re not going away anytime soon – the FCC reports that customers in the United States get around 4 billion robocalls every month and that Americans will have lost almost $30 billion to scam calls by 2021. According to Google, the function was created to protect you “against unsolicited calls and possibly hazardous frauds.”
