Google has offered a sneak peek of the upcoming Pixel Watch 2 in a teaser video ahead of its official launch on October 4. While some details have been revealed, there are still many unknowns about the smartwatch. One of the lingering questions has been the available colors for the Pixel Watch 2, but recent information from a reliable source suggests that it will come in Gold, Silver, or Black cases.
The Pixel Watch 2 is expected to offer a similar color lineup to its predecessor, the original Pixel Watch. Both LTE and Wi-Fi-only models will reportedly be available in all three color options. However, the straps are where things get more colorful. The Pixel Watch 2 is said to come with an Active band included in the box. The band color will correspond to the case color, with Hazel for Gold, Obsidian for Black, and a choice of White or Bay for Silver cases. It’s worth noting that ‘Bay’ is a new addition for the Pixel Watch 2, replacing the Charcoal strap available for the original Pixel Watch.
Additionally, it’s reported that Sport bands will be available for purchase separately in various shades, including Coral, Hazel, Moondust, Obsidian, and Porcelain.
In terms of charging, there is mention of a “Pixel Watch 2 USB-C Fast Charging Cable.” While no specific details about charging speeds have been provided, the term “fast” suggests that the Pixel Watch 2 may support higher charging speeds than its predecessor, which charged at 5W.
Although the original Pixel Watch did not take an excessively long time to charge, an upgrade in charging speed would certainly be appreciated by users and could help the Pixel Watch 2 compete with other top-tier smartwatches on the market.
The official unveiling of the Pixel Watch 2 is scheduled for October 4, alongside the introduction of the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. This event will provide a comprehensive look at the new features and capabilities of Google’s latest wearable, answering any remaining questions about the device’s specifications and functionality.
